Since January 2022, I've been on maternity leave, and baby Lucie and I have spent many happy hours reading, including, of course, a healthy dose of Montgomery content!
It's been a wonderful year, and I'm really looking forward to re-connecting with you all and to returning as editor of the Journal of L.M. Montgomery Studies in January.
I'm very grateful to everyone who has kept the Journal running in my absence, especially Lesley Clement, Emily Woster, Alan MacEachern, Holly Pike, Tara Parmiter, Jane Ledwell, Katherine Stratton, Weiqi Tang, Donald Moses, Rob Drew, Philip Smith, and our student assistants, Alyssa Gillespie, Barbara Rousseau, Kylee Bustard, and Austen Clayton (it takes a small town!).
As well as our many collections (Reading, Mental Health, Vision, Re-vision), I'm excited about our new feature, “International Notes on L.M. Montgomery” (edited by Lesley and Holly), which showcases the breadth of interest in Montgomery around the world, and I'm also looking forward to opening up our call for collections not tied to conference themes. So, if there's a topic that you think is crying out for a special Journal issue, stayed tuned in 2023 or get in touch (montgomeryjournal@upei.ca) for more details.
Looking forward to connecting with you, whether you're a Journal author, board member, reviewer, or reader in 2023! Happy Holidays.

Editor, Journal of L.M. Montgomery Studies
